नमस्कार दोस्तों आपको पता है कि भारत का पेरिस कौन सा नगर है जी हां दोस्तों भारत का पेरिस शेखावाटी नगर है जो कभी प्राचीन विराटनगर हुआ करता था जी हां दोस्तों वही विराट नगर जहां अज्ञातवास के दौरान वीर योद्धा अर्जुन ने शरण लिया था। दोस्तों वही विराटनगर आज का शेखावाटी नजर है जो राजस्थान में स्थित है।दोस्तों शेखावाटी नगर का इतिहास बड़ा ही रोचक और गौरवशाली रहा है दोस्तों माना जाता है कि यह क्षेत्र रामायण काल में समुंद्र की अथाह गहराइयों में डूबा हुआ था , और दोस्तों महाभारत काल में प्रसिद्ध विराटनगर हुआ करता था।
दोस्तों आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि आज भी इस क्षेत्र में यदा-कदा समुद्री जीवो के जीवाश्म मिल जाते हैं क्योंकि दोस्तों यह क्षेत्र विशाल समुंद्र हुआ करता था।दोस्तों माना जाता है कि यह क्षेत्र महाभारत काल के बाद बहुत समय तक विरान पड़ा रहा था।दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक स्रोतों से पता चलता है कि शक एवं हुणों के समय इस क्षेत्र में हिंदुओं और विदेशी लोगों का आना एवं इस क्षेत्र में बसना शुरू हुआ था। दोस्तों मध्य काल से पूर्व इस क्षेत्र में प्रतिहारों न भी शासन किया था । प्रतिहारो के बाद ही शेखावाटी चौहानों ने इस क्षेत्र को अपने शासन में ले लिया था।
दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक स्रोतों से पता चलता है कि बाद के समयकाल में महाराज पृथ्वीराज चौहान की पराजय के बाद बाहरी आक्रमणकारियों जैसे मोहम्मद गौरी एवं अफगान तुर्क वंश का शासन क्षेत्र पर स्थापित हो गया था।दोस्तों लगभग 1200 ईस्बी से लेकर 13 वीं सदी के अंत तक लगभग 100 वर्षों तक चौहानों ने शेखावाटी में तुर्कों से लड़ाइयां लड़ी। लेकिन दोस्तों आगे चलकर ददरेवा के चौहान राजा कायम सिंह के इस्लाम कबूल कर लेने के बाद इस क्षेत्र का बहुत ही बुरा हाल हुआ था।दोस्तो आप समझ सकते हो कि मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारियों के क्रूरता के आगे राजाओं को अपना धर्म बदलना पड़ा था , तो प्रजा की तो बात ही क्या थी ?
दोस्तों ददरेवा की चौहान राजा के मुसलमान बन जाने के बाद पूरा राजस्थान ही नहीं पूरा का पूरा भारत है असुरक्षित हो गया था। लेकिन आमेर के क्षत्रियों ने शेखावाटी के उद्धार के लिए आमेर के महाराजा उदयकर्ण जी के पुत्र कुंवर शेखाजी को जिम्मेदारी दी गई कि वह शेखावाटी से क्रूर आक्रमणकारियों का संहार करके अपना शासन कायम करें।और दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक साक्ष्यों से पता चलता है कि कुंवर शेखाजी ने शेखावाटी से तुर्को का पूर्णतः सफाया कर दिया था और जो बचे थे वे सभी मेवात की ओर भाग गए थे। दोस्तों शेखाजी ने हरियाणा के भिवानी तक का क्षेत्र अपने कब्जे में कर लिया था ।
दोस्तों कछवाहो ने आगे चलकर इस क्षेत्र में व्यापारिक गतिविधियों को काफी आगे बढ़ाया एवं भारतवर्ष के सर्वश्रेष्ठ व्यापारियों एवं अपने कार्य में निपुण कारीगरों को शेखावाटी में आमंत्रित किया और उन्हें यहां बसाया।दोस्तों आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि शेखावतो के कल में कोई भी पढ़ा लिखा व्यक्ति
छोटे मकानों में नहीं रहता था क्योंकि उनका अपना निजी महल होता था। दोस्तों आज भी शेखावाटी में जितनी अधिक हवेलियां हैं छोटे से कम से कम क्षेत्र में उतनी अधिक हवेलियां शायद ही किसी नगर में हो।दोस्तों शेखावाटी नगर का भ्रमण करने पर पता चलता है कि मध्यकाल में हिंदुओं का केवल गरीबी का इतिहास नहीं रहा उसी मध्यकाल में कछवाहा शासन के दौरान यहां जीवन बसर कर रही प्रजा गरीब नहीं थी। क्योंकि दोस्तों गौर करने वाली बात यह है कि अन्य राज्यों के सुल्तानों को जहां महल नसीब नहीं था वही हर तरह से सुख सुविधाओं से संपन्न महलों में शेखावाटी की आम जनता रहती थी। दोस्त को समय की झंझावातों को पार करते हुए वहीं महल और हवेलियां आज भी शेखावाटी नगर में मौजूद है जो अपनी प्राचीनता और भव्यता को आज भी एहसास करवा रही है।
