नमस्कार दोस्तों मैं माउंटेन लैपर्ड महेंद्रा आप सभी लोगों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन करता हूं दोस्तों आज मैं आप सभी को लेकर चल रहा हूं 7000 वर्ष पुराने महालक्ष्मी मंदिर की यात्रा पर जो कोल्हापुर महाराष्ट्र में स्थित है।
दोस्तों माना जाता है कि आज से 7000 वर्ष पहले इस जगह पर मां लक्ष्मी की प्रतिमा स्थापित की गई थी।दोस्तों माता लक्ष्मी की प्राचीन मंदिर महाराष्ट्र के कोल्हापुर जिले में मौजूद है दोस्तों इस प्राचीन मंदिर का निर्माण चालुक्य शासक कर्ण देव ने सातवीं शताब्दी में करवाया था। दोस्तों इसके बाद इस मंदिर का पुनः निर्माण शिलहर यादव नाम के एक शासक ने 9 वी शताब्दी में करवाया था। दोस्तों माता महालक्ष्मी मंदिर के मुख्य गर्भ गृह में मां लक्ष्मी की 40 किलो की प्रतिमा स्थापित है। जो हो 4 फीट लंबी है।दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक साक्ष्य बताते हैं कि यह प्रतिमा 7000 वर्ष पुरानी है।
दोस्तों मान्यता है इस स्थान पर मां सती के तीन नेत्र गिरे थे। जिस कारण से यहां भगवती महालक्ष्मी का निवास माना जाता है।। दोस्तों इस मंदिर की एक खासियत यह भी है कि पूरे वर्ष में किसी एक दिन मंदिर में स्थापित माता की प्रतिमा पर सूर्य देव की किरणें सीधे पड़ती है। दोस्तों माना जाता है कि माता महालक्ष्मी अपने पति तिरुपति बालाजी यानी भगवान विष्णु जी से रुठकर कोल्हापुर आ गई थी। जिस कारण से प्रत्येक वर्ष दीपावली पर तिरुपति बालाजी से आया शाल उन्हें पहनाया जाता है।
दोस्तों माना जाता है कि किसी भी मनुष्य की तिरुपति बालाजी की यात्रा तब तक पूरी नहीं होती है जब तक वह मनुष्य यहां आकर माता महालक्ष्मी की पूजा अर्चना ना कर ले। दोस्तों यहां पर माता महालक्ष्मी को अंबाबाई के नाम से भी जाना जाता है एवं दोस्तों मान्यता है कि यहां पर आने वाले हर भक्तों की मनोकामना पूर्ण होती है।
दोस्तों इस क्षेत्र में एक बहुत ही प्रचलित किवदंती मशहूर है जिसके अनुसार माना जाता है कि प्राचीन समय में इस क्षेत्र में "केशी" नाम का एक राक्षस हुआ करता था। जिसका एक बेटा था "कोल्हासुर" । माना जाता है कि "कोल्हासुर" ने देवताओं को बहुत परेशान कर रखा था। अतः इसके अत्याचारों से परेशान होकर सभी देवगणों में देवी से प्रार्थना की थी।तब माता महालक्ष्मी ने दुर्गा का रूप धारण कर अत्याचारी राक्षस "कोल्हासुर" का संहार किया था।माता ने ब्रह्मास्त्र का उपयोग कर कोल्हासुर का सिर धड़ से अलग कर दिया था। पर दोस्तों माना जाता है कि कोल्हापुर ने मरने से पहले माता से एक वरदान मांगा , उसने मांगा कि इस इलाके को "करवीर" और "कोल्हासुर" के नाम से जाना जाए। यही कारण है कि माता को यहां पर "करवीर महालक्ष्मी" के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। दोस्तों वर्तमान में यह क्षेत्र "कोल्हासुर" से "कोल्हापुर" के नाम से भी जाना जाने लगा है।
दोस्तों इस मंदिर में दो मुख्य हाल हैं जिसमें पहला "दर्शन मंडप" और दूसरा "कूर्म मंडप" है।दोस्तों "दर्शन मंडप" में ही माता का दिव्य स्वरूप का दर्शन करते हैं श्रद्धालुगण । एवं "कूर्म मंडप" में श्रद्धालु गण पर पवित्र शंख के द्वारा जल का छिड़काव किया जाता है। दोस्तों मंदिर में मौजूद माता की प्राचीन प्रतिमा के चार हाथ हैं जिनमें शंख , चक्र , गदा और कमल का पुष्प धारण किए हुए हैं। दोस्तों माता का दर्शन करना एक अलौकिक अनुभूति प्रदान करती है।

Friends, it is believed that Mata Mahalakshmi came to Kolhapur after getting angry with her husband Tirupati Balaji i.e. Lord Vishnu. Due to which, the shawl from Tirupati Balaji is worn on Deepawali every year.
Friends, it is believed that no man's journey to Tirupati Balaji is complete until the person comes here and offers prayers to Mahal Mahalakshmi. Friends, Mata Mahalakshmi is also known as Ambabai and friends believe that the wishes of every devotees who visit here are fulfilled.
Friends, a very popular legend is famous in this region according to which it is believed that in ancient times there used to be a demon named "Keshi" in this area. Who had a son "Kolhasur". "Kolhasur" is believed to have upset the gods a lot. Therefore, being troubled by its atrocities, all the devas prayed to the goddess. Then Mata Mahalakshmi took the form of Durga and killed the tyrannical demon "Kolhasur". The mother beheaded Kolhasur using Brahmastra. But friends believed that Kolhapur sought a boon from Mata before she died, demanding that the area be known as "Karveer" and "Kolhasur". That is why Mata is also known as "Karveer Mahalakshmi" here. Friends, at present the area has also come to be known as "Kolhapur" from "Kolhasur".
Friends, there are two main halls in this temple, the first "Darshan Mandap" and the second "Koram Mandap". The devotees see the divine form of Mother in the "Darshan Mandap". And in the "Kurm Mandap", water is sprayed by the holy conch on the devotees. Friends: The ancient idol of Mother present in the temple has four hands holding a conch, chakra, mace and lotus flower. Visiting friends mother gives a supernatural feeling.
