नमस्कार दोस्तों आज की यात्रा एक ऐसे प्राचीन भारतीय मंदिर की है जो अपने प्राचीनतम वास्तुशिल्प की सर्वश्रेष्ठ उदाहरण हैं जो कि दर्शाता है कि भारतवर्ष के प्राचीन वास्तुकार अपने कार्य में कितने निपुण हुआ करतें थे, और जिन्होंने अपने पीछे एक ऐसा अद्भुत इतिहास छोड़ा है जो आधुनिक मानवों को सोचने पर मजबूर कर देती हैं।
दोस्तों भारतवर्ष की इन प्राचीन मंदिरों की इतनी उम्दा और बेहतरीन वास्तुशिल्प संसार में और कहीं देखने को नहीं मिलती हैं।
दोस्तों होयसलेश्वर महादेव मंदिर जिसे स्थानीय लोग हालेबिदु मंदिर के रूप में भी संबोधित करते हैं। दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेजों से पता चलता है कि इस मंदिर का निर्माण 12 वीं शताब्दी में किया गया था। जो कि भगवान शिव को समर्पित है।
दोस्तों यह भारत के कर्नाटक राज्य के एक छोटे से शहर हालेबिदु में मौजूद हैं जो कि प्राचीन काल में होयसल राज्य की राजधानी हुआ करती थीं।
दोस्तों भगवान शिव की यह प्राचीन मंदिर एक मानव निर्मित झील के किनारे पर स्थित है दोस्तों माना जाता है कि इस झील का निर्माण होयसल साम्राज्य के राजा विष्णु वर्धन के द्वारा करवाया गया था और उन्हीं के आदेश से भगवान शिव के इस अद्भुत मंदिर का निर्माण 1121 ई. के आस पास शुरू हुआ था और 1160ई. में पुरा हुआ था।
लेकिन दोस्तों आगे चलकर दुर्भाग्यवश क्रुर मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारियो द्वारा इस अलौकिक व अद्भुत शिव मंदिर को कइ बार ध्वस्त किया गया था।
और साथ ही साथ इस प्राचीन शहर हालेबिदु को भी ध्वस्त कर दिया गया था।
फिर भी दोस्तों सदियों बाद भी यह प्राचीन शिव मंदिर अपने अद्भुत वास्तुशिल्प को धारण किए हुए आज भी शानोशौकत से खड़ी हैं।
