नमस्कार दोस्तों मैं माउंटेन लैपर्ड महेंद्रा आप सभी लोगों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन करता हूं दोस्तों आज की यात्रा पर मैं जा रहा हूं हिमाचल प्रदेश की कांगड़ा जिले में जहां हम देखेंगे अद्भुत और अलौकिक बाथू की लड़ी मंदिर की जो कि एक जलाशय के टापू पर बना हुआ है।

दोस्तों अपने भारतवर्ष में कई रहस्यमई और अलौकिक स्थान है जिनका अपना समृद्ध ऐतिहासिक अतीत रहा है दोस्तों उन्हीं स्थानों में से एक रहस्यमई और अद्भुत स्थान है। हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिले में बाथू की लड़ी मंदिर।दोस्तों इस मंदिर को अद्भुत और अनोखा बनाने का तथ्य यह है कि यह मंदिर वर्ष के 8 महीने तक बांध के पानी में डूबा रहता है। दोस्तों बाथू मंदिर का मुख्य मंदिर भगवान शिव को समर्पित है साथ ही साथ मुख्य मंदिर के चारों ओर छोटे-छोटे 8 मंदिरों का समूह भी मौजूद है।
दोस्तों मंदिर का बाथू नामकरण मंदिर के निर्माण में इस्तेमाल किए गए मजबूत बाथू पत्थर के कारण पड़ा है , एवं "लड़ी" नाम इस तथ्य के कारण है कि मंदिर दूर से एक "हार" के रूप में दिखाई देती है। दोस्तों मंदिर को नागर शैली में निर्मित किया गया है। दोस्तों प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेजों में दर्ज है कि इन मंदिरों का निर्माण पांडवों ने अपने अज्ञातवास के दौरान किया था।
दोस्तों यहां भगवान शिव के मंदिर के साथ-साथ भगवान विष्णु , भगवान गणेश एवं मां काली के मंदिर भी मौजूद हैं। दोस्तों मंदिर के पास ही एक अष्टकोणीय टाॅवर मौजूद है जिसके ऊपर चढ़कर मंदिरों के समूह को आसानी से देखा जा सकता है।
दोस्तों आश्चर्य करने वाली बात यह है कि वर्तमान समय में महाराणा प्रताप झील पर बने पोंग बांध के जल स्तर के बढ़ जाने के कारण मंदिर परिसर 8 महीने तक पानी में डूबा रहता है। दोस्तों जिस कारण से श्रद्धालुगण नांव की सहायता से मंदिर तक पहुंच पाते हैं। दोस्तों मंदिर जुलाई से फरवरी तक पानी के नीचे रहता है इसे केवल मार्च और जून के महीनों के बीच देखा जा सकता है।
