नमस्कार दोस्तों आज की यात्रा पर हम चल रहे हैं महाराष्ट्र के पुणे में स्थित प्राचीन भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग मंदिर की दर्शन को ।दोस्तों माना जाता है कि यह अलौकिक ज्योतिर्लिंग स्वयंभू है यानी यह शिवलिंग स्वयं प्रकट हुए थे। देवताओं के आवाहन पर।
दोस्तों प्राचीन भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग भोरगिरी ग्राम खेड़ से 50 किलोमीटर उत्तर पश्चिम की ओर और पुणे शहर से 110 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।दोस्तों आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि यह पवित्र ज्योतिर्लिंग पश्चिमी घाट के सहाद्रि पर्वतमला के ऊंचे पर्वतों पर स्थित है। दोस्तों सहाद्रि पर्वतमाला से ही भीम नदी का उद्गम हुआ है। दोस्तों भीमा नदी दक्षिण पश्चिम दिशा में बहती हुई रायचूर जिले में कृष्णा नदी से जा मिलती है।
और दोस्तों यही पर मौजूद है भगवान शिव का प्रसिद्ध ज्योतिर्लिंग दोस्तों यह अति प्राचीन शिव मंदिर हमारे देश भारत में पाए जाने वाले 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है।दोस्तों गौर करने वाली बात यह है कि सहाद्रि पर्वत माला की ऊंचाइयों पर स्थित यानी कि 3250 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित इस प्राचीन मंदिर का पवित्र शिवलिंग काफी मोटा है। इसलिए इसे इस क्षेत्र में मोटेश्वर महादेव के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

दोस्तों भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग मंदिर प्रसिद्ध नागर शैली की वास्तुकला में बनी एक प्राचीन और नई संरचनाओं का अद्भुत संगम है। दोस्तों इस अद्भुत मंदिर में बने प्राचीन कलाकृतियों केअद्भुत नक्काशी यों को देखकर आश्चर्य होता है कि कितने महान रहे होंगे उस समय के विश्वकर्मा वास्तुशिल्पी । साथ ही दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेजों से पता चलता है कि इस प्राचीन मंदिर के पुनर्निर्माण के समय मंदिर का शिखर नाना फडणवीस द्वारा 18वीं सदी में बनवाया गया था।
साथी दोस्तों पता चलता है कि महान मराठा सम्राट छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज ने भी इस पवित्र ज्योतिर्लिंग की पूजा एवं मंदिर के रखरखाव के लिए काफी सुविधाएं प्रदान की थी।
दोस्तों आपको इस मंदिर प्रांगण में एक बड़ा सा घंटा लटका हुआ मिलेगा जिसके बारे में कहा जाता है कि इस घंटे का भी निर्माण नाना फडणवीस ने ही करवाया था।

दोस्तों इस क्षेत्र की यात्रा करने पर आपको यहां के प्रसिद्ध हनुमान झील , गुप्त भीमाशंकर , भीमा नदी का उद्गम स्थल , नागफनी , मुंबई पॉइंट व साक्षी विनायक जैसे प्रसिद्ध स्थलो को देखने का अवसर प्राप्त हो सकता है।दोस्तों भीमाशंकर मंदिर लाल वन क्षेत्र और वन्य जीव अभ्यारण द्वारा संरक्षित है दोस्तों इस वन अभ्यारण्य क्षेत्र में विभिन्न प्रजातियों के पक्षियों , जानवरों ,पेड़ पौधे एवं फूलों की अनेक प्रजातियां मौजूद है।दोस्तों यह क्षेत्र श्रद्धालुओं के साथ-साथ पर्वतारोहियों के बीच भी काफी प्रसिद्ध है यहां काफी प्रसिद्धि ट्रैकिंग क्षेत्र मौजूद हैं जहां पर्वतारोही समय-समय पर पर्वतारोहण का लुफ्त उठाते रहते हैं।साथी दोस्तों आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि यहां संसार के सभी क्षेत्रों से लोग इस अद्भुत मंदिर को देखने और पूजा करने के लिए आते हैं।

दोस्तों शिवपुराण में वर्णित है कि त्रेता युग में रावण के छोटे भाई कुंभकरण का पुत्र भीम नाम का एक राक्षस हुआ करता था।दोस्तों माना जाता है कि इस राक्षस का जन्म ठीक उसके पिता कुंभकरण के मृत्यु के बाद हुआ था।जिस कारण से उसे अपने पिता की मृत्यु भगवान राम के हाथों होने की घटना की जानकारी नहीं थी। दोस्तों बाद में जब उसे अपनी माता से इस घटना की जानकारी हुई तो , वह भगवान श्रीराम का वध करने के लिए आतुर हो गया था । अतः दोस्तों अपने उद्देश्य को पूरा करने के लिए भीम राक्षस ने कई वर्षों तक कठोर तपस्या की जिससे प्रसन्न होकर उसे भगवान ब्रह्मा जी ने सदा विजयी होने का वरदान दे दिया था। दोस्तों वरदान पाने के बाद वह और ज्यादा अत्याचारी हो गया था जिस कारण से दोस्तों उससे मनुष्यों के साथ-साथ देवी देवता भी भयभीत रहने लगे थे। दोस्तों माना जाता है कि पूरे ब्रह्मांड में उसकी आतंक चर्चा होने लगी थी। दोस्तों उसका आतंक इतना बढ़ गया था कि युद्ध में उसने देवताओं को भी पराजित करना शुरू कर दिया था।
दोस्तों हद तो तब हो गई जब उसने धरती पर सभी धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों को बंद करवा दिया था।
अंतता दोस्तों हद से ज्यादा परेशान होकर सभी देवगण भगवान शिव के शरण में गए और भगवान शिव से प्रार्थना की कि उन्हें इस दुष्ट से मुक्ति दिलाएं।दोस्तों तब भगवान शिव ने सभी को आश्वासन दिया कि वे इस अत्याचारी राक्षस का संहार करेंगे।दोस्तों कहा जाता है कि भगवान शिव और भीम राक्षस के बीच घमासान युद्ध हुआ था। दोस्तों जिसमें अंततः भगवान शिव ने उस दुष्ट राक्षस को भस्म यानी जलाकर राख कर दिया था।और अंततः दुष्ट राक्षस के अत्याचार से सभी को मुक्ति मिल पाई थी।
दोस्तों कहा जाता है कि भगवान शिव से सभी देवगण ने आग्रह किया कि वे इसी स्थान पर शिवलिंग के रूप में विराजमान हो जाएं ।दोस्तों वे मनुष्यों के कल्याण के लिए देवताओं की प्रार्थना को स्वीकार कर भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग के रूप में आज भी मंदिर के गर्भ गृह में विराजमान हैं।

Friends, it is believed that his terror was being discussed in the whole universe. Friends, his terror had increased so much that in the war he had started defeating even the gods.
Friends, the limit was reached when he had stopped all religious rituals on earth.
In the end friends, all the gods went to the shelter of Lord Shiva and prayed to Lord Shiva to give them freedom from this evil. Friends, then Lord Shiva assured everyone that he would kill this tyrannical demon. It is said that there was a fierce battle between Lord Shiva and the demon Bhima. Friends, in which finally Lord Shiva had burnt that evil demon to ashes. And finally everyone got freedom from the tyranny of the evil demon.
