नमस्कार दोस्तों मैं माउंटेन लैपर्ड महेंद्रा आप सभी लोगों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन करता हूं दोस्तों आज की यात्रा पर मैं आपको लेकर चल रहा हूं भारत के उड़ीसा राज्य में स्थित पूरी जिले में मौजूद प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर । दोस्तों माना जाता है कि प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर विश्व प्रसिद्ध कोणार्क के सूर्य मंदिर से पहले बना था।दोस्तों प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर अपने अद्भुत वास्तु कला निर्माण शैली के कारण अद्वितीय है। तो आइए दोस्तों चलते हैं प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर की यात्रा पर उड़ीसा के पूरी जिले में स्थित एक छोटे से गांव में।

नमस्कार दोस्तों प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर उड़ीसा के पुरी जिले में गोप के करीब गांव बयालिश बटी में मौजूद है। दोस्तों यह प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर भुवनेश्वर से लगभग 60 किलोमीटर की दूरी और पूरी से 35 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।
दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेजों के अध्ययन से पता चलता है कि इस प्राचीन मंदिर का निर्माण 13 वी सदी के आसपास किया गया था। दोस्तों माना जाता है कि उस समय के महाराज गंगेश्वरी की कुलदेवी इस मंदिर में स्थापित हैं। दोस्तों महाराज गंगेश्वरी के नाम पर हैं इस मंदिर का नाम गंगेश्वरी मंदिर पड़ा है।दोस्तों अति प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर कलिंग वास्तुकला का एक अद्भुत उदाहरण पेश करता है।
दोस्तों हाल ही में भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग द्वारा इस प्राचीन मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार किया गया है दोस्तों देखरेख के अभाव में जीर्ण - शीर्ण हो चुके यह प्राचीन मंदिर अब भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग के निगरानी में है।
दोस्तों इस प्राचीन मंदिर क नींव लेटराइट पत्थरों का बना हुआ है साथ ही मंदिर के निर्माण में बड़े पैमाने पर बलुआ पत्थर का भी उपयोग किया गया है।
दोस्तों आप यकीन नहीं करोगे यह प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर पिछले 800 वर्षों से लगातार हवा - पानी एवं अपक्षय और क्षरण के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त हुआ है। लेकिन आज भी यह मंदिर अपने अद्भुत वास्तुकला को संरक्षित किए हुए हैं।
दोस्तों इस अति प्राचीन गंधेश्वरी देवी मंदिर में चामुंडा देवी ,
अष्टादिकापालक , नायिका , पशुओं के शिकार करते शिकारी , योद्धा एवं सामाजिक दृश्यों के साथ-साथ कुछ काल्पनिक एवं अद्भुत चित्रो को बहुत ही बारीकी से मंदिर के दीवारों पर उकेरा गया है। साथ ही दोस्तों मंदिर के गर्भ गृह में माता महिषमर्दिनी कि चारों भुजाओं में शस्त्र धारण किए हुए प्राचीन मूर्ति स्थापित है।
दोस्तों मंदिर के ही दीवारों पर आश्चर्यचकित करने वाली एक विशेष नक्काशीदार मूर्ति बनाई गई है जिसे मुछालिंडा बुद्ध माना जाता है।दोस्तों भगवान बुद्ध की छवि रखने वाले इस मूर्ति को देखकर इतिहासकार आश्चर्यचकित हो जाते हैं लेकिन दोस्तों कुछ विद्वानों का मानना है कि बौद्ध धर्म का तांत्रिक रूप उड़ीसा में ही उत्पन्न हुआ था जो हिंदू तंत्र विद्या के साथ बहुत ही करीबी का समानताएं रखता है।जिस कारण से दोस्तों इस पूरे क्षेत्र को बौद्ध धर्म , हिंदू धर्म और तंत्रवाद की एकता का केंद्र माना जाता है। इसलिए दोस्तों दीवारों पर बने इन अद्भुत मूर्तियों को देखकर आश्चर्य करने वाली बात नहीं है।
दोस्तों माना जाता है कि आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य जी ने नौवीं शताब्दी ईस्वी में उड़िसा का दौरा किया था जिसके परिणाम स्वरुप ही 10 वीं शताब्दी ईस्वी में भगवान विष्णु के नौवें अवतार के रूप में गौतम बुद्ध को स्वीकार किया गया था।
दोस्तों अक्सर बियालिस बटी के ग्रामीणों द्वारा उल्लेख किया जाता है कि यह क्षेत्र कोणार्क के महान सूर्य मंदिर से संबंधित रहा है।दोस्तों ऐसा कहा जाता है कि कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर के मुख्य वास्तुकार सिबेई सामंतराय महापात्र इसी गांव के रहने वाले थे। दोस्तों वे यहीं पर कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर के 1200 शिल्पकारो , वास्तु कारों एवं पर्यवेक्षकों के साथ मिलकर कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर की योजना को मृत रूप दिया करते थे। दोस्तों साथ ही यह भी बताया जाता है कि पास में ही बहने वाली पत्थरबुआ नदी के रास्ते ही कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर में उपयोग होने वाले अधिकांश सामग्रियों को ढोया जाता था , लकड़ी के नाव के जरिए।
दोस्तों प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर के समीप एक बड़ा तालाब मौजूद है जो अब कीचड़ और गाद से भर गया है जिस कारण से पत्थरबुआ नदी का मार्ग अब पूरी तरह से अवरुद्ध हो गया है।दोस्तों यही नदी किसी जमाने में कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर तक पहुंचने का सुगम जलमार्ग हुआ करता था।जो प्राचीन गंगेश्वर मंदिर से लगभग 14 किलोमीटर दूर कोणार्क के सूर्य मंदिर के लिए एक प्रमुख जलमार्ग के रूप में कार्य करता था।और मंदिर के पास स्थित यह बड़ा सा जलाशय नदी के मुहाने पर स्थित एक घाट की तरह काम करता था ।
दोस्तों कुछ विद्वानों का मानना है कि कोणार्क का सूर्य मंदिर का निर्माण करने वाले यहां केवल रुके ही नहीं थे बल्कि मंदिर के निर्माण संबंधी सारी योजनाएं उनके द्वारा यहीं पर बनाए जाते थे। कोणार्क के सूर्य मंदिर से 14 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित इसी गांव में। दोस्तों आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि गंगेश्वरी मंदिर को कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर का अग्रदूत माना जाता है।दोस्तों एक प्रोटोटाइप नक्शा के रूप में जो संभवत बड़े पैमाने पर कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर के निर्माण से पहले बनाया गया था। क्योंकि दोस्तों दोनों मंदिरों में काफी समानताएं हैं।
दोस्तों कुछ भी हो यह प्राचीन गंगेश्वरी मंदिर भारतवर्ष का अनमोल धरोहर है जो आज भी अपने अद्भुत निर्माण शैली का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही है।
