नमस्कार दोस्तों मैं माउंटेन लैपर्ड महेंद्रा आप सभी लोगों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन करता हूं दोस्तों आज मैं आप सभी को लेकर चल रहा हूं नर्मदा नदी के तट पर जहां एक बहुत ही अद्भुत मंदिर स्थित है जिसे हम सभी सिद्धनाथ महादेव मंदिर के नाम से जानते हैं। दोस्तों इस मंदिर से जुड़ी बहुत सारी किंवदंतियां और कहानियां प्रचलित है जो आपको आश्चर्य चकित किए बिना नहीं छोड़ सकती है। आइए दोस्तों चलते हैं प्राचीन सिद्धनाथ महादेव मंदिर की ओर।

दोस्तों प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक स्रोत बताते हैं कि सिद्धनाथ महादेव मंदिर में शिवलिंग की स्थापना 4 महान सिद्ध ऋषि महात्मा सनक , सनकंद सनतकुमारा , और सनात्सुजा ने सतयुग में की थी। इन्हीं के कारण इस मंदिर का नाम सिद्धनाथ पड़ा था । दोस्तों इस मंदिर के ऊपरी तल पर ओम्कारेश्वर और निचले तल पर महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग विराजमान हैं । दोस्तों सिद्धेश्वर महादेव शिवलिंग बहुत ही अलौकिक हैं दोस्तों जब आप शिवलिंग पर जल अर्पण करोगे तो आप सभी को शिवलिंग से ॐ की प्रतिध्वनि सुनाई देगी जो आपको मंत्र-मुग्ध कर देंगी।
दोस्तों ऐसी मान्यता है कि इसके शिखर का निर्माण 3094 वर्ष ईसा पूर्व में किया गया था । ऐतिहासिक स्रोत बताते हैं कि द्वापर युग में कौरवों द्वारा इस मंदिर को पूर्व मुखी बनाया गया था , जिसे पांडव पुत्र महाबली भीम ने अपने बाहुबल से पश्चिम मुखी कर दिया था।
दोस्तों एक प्रचलित कहानी यह भी है कि सिद्धनाथ महादेव मंदिर के पास नर्मदा नदी के तट पर रेत पर सुबह-सुबह ऋषि-मुनियों या किसी सिद्ध महात्मा के पद चिन्ह नजर आते हैं।जिस पर कुष्ठ रोगी अपने शरीर को रगड़ते हैं जिससे वे धीरे-धीरे ठीक होने लगते हैं।
दोस्तों आस-पास के गांव में रहने वाले बुजुर्गों का मानना है कि पहाड़ी के अंदर स्थित गुफाओं एवं कंदराओं में रहने वाले तपस्या में लीन साधु महात्मा प्रातः काल यहां नर्मदा नदी के तट पर स्नान आदि करने आते हैं और अपने पद चिन्ह तट के रेत पर छोड़ जाते हैं ।
दोस्तों जब आप यहां आओगे तो देखोगे की आसपस के क्षेत्रों में बहुत ही प्राचीन पुरातात्विक अवशेष यत्र तत्र बिखरे पड़े हुए हैं और हम जैसे खोजकर्ताओं की बाट जोह रहे हैं ताकि इनका उद्धार हो सके।
दोस्तों हिंदू और जैन पुराणों में इस स्थान के बारे में कई बार उल्लेख किया गया है इस स्थल को सभी पापों का नाश करने वाला सिद्धदाता तीर्थस्थल माना गया है। दोस्तों नर्मदा नदी के तट पर स्थित शिवालय मंदिर हिंदू धर्म की आस्था का प्रमुख केंद्र है। दोस्तों ऐतिहासिक स्रोत या साहित्य बताते हैं कि 10वीं और 11 वीं सदी के चंदेल और परमार राजाओं ने इस मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार करवाया था ।
दोस्तों यह मंदिर अपने अद्भुत स्थापत्य कला के लिए प्रसिद्ध है दोस्तों मंदिर को देखने से ही मंदिर की प्राचीनता का एहसास होता है। दोस्तों मंदिर के स्तंभों और दीवारों पर भगवान शिव , यमराज , भैरव , भगवान गणेश , इंद्राणी और चामुंडा देवी कई सुंदर मुर्तियां उत्कीर्ण की गई है।
दोस्तों सिद्धनाथ शिव मंदिर परिसर में शिवरात्रि , मकर संक्रांति , सूर्य ग्रहण , चंद्र ग्रहण एवं अमावस्या आदि पर्व पर विशाल मेला का आयोजन होता है और बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु गण स्नान आदि करने आते हैं। साथ ही साथ बड़ी संख्या में साधु महात्मा भी इस पवित्र नर्मदा मैया का दर्शन करने आते हैं एवं पुण्य के भागी बनते हैं।
