नमस्कार दोस्तों माउंटेन लैपर्ड महेंद्रा के यात्रा ब्लॉग में आप सभी लोगों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन हैं दोस्तों आज की यात्रा पर मैं आपको लेकर चल रहा हूं महाभारत कालीन कुछ प्रसिद्ध नगरों की जो इस समय भी विभिन्न नामों से मौजूद हैं।
गांधार - दोस्तों आज के कंधार को प्राचीन काल में गांधार के रूप में जाना जाता था।दोस्तों यह देश प्राचीन काल में आज के पाकिस्तान के रावलपिंडी से लेकर सुदूर अफगानिस्तान तक फैला हुआ था ।दोस्तों महाभारत काल में महाराज धृतराष्ट्र की पत्नी गांधारी वहां के राजा सुबल की पुत्री थी।दोस्तों की भ्रांतियां हैं कि गांधारी के श्राप के कारण पूरा अफगानिस्तान आज तक तबाही झेल रहा है।
तक्षशिला - दोस्तों तक्षशिला प्राचीन गांधार प्रदेश की राजधानी हुआ करती थी। दोस्तों आज वर्तमान में तक्षशिला को रावलपिंडी के नाम से जाना जाता है दोस्तों तक्षशिला प्राचीन काल में शिक्षा का विश्व प्रसिद्ध केंद्र हुआ करता था।
केकय प्रदेश- दोस्तों आज के जम्मू कश्मीर के उत्तरी क्षेत्र का उल्लेख महाभारत काल में केकय प्रदेश के रूप में किया जाता था। दोस्तों प्राचीन काल में केकय प्रदेश के राजा जयसेन का विवाह भगवान कृष्ण के पिता महाराज वसुदेव की बहन राधा देवी के साथ हुआ था। दोस्तों उनके पुत्र विंद व जरासंध दुर्योधन का मित्र था। दोस्तों महाभारत के युद्ध में विंद ने कौरवों का साथ दिया था।
मद्र देश - दोस्तों केकय प्रदेश से सटा हुआ मद्र प्रदेश आज का जम्मू कश्मीर प्रदेश ही है। दोस्तों ग्रंथ एतरेय ब्रहामण के अनुसार हिमालय के पहाड़ियों के नजदीक होने के कारण मद्र देश को उत्तर का कुरु भी कहा जाता था। दोस्तों महाभारत काल में मद्र देश के राजा शल्य थे , जिनकी बहन माद्री का विवाह महाराज पाण्डु से हुआ था। दोस्तों नकुल और सहदेव रानी माद्री के ही पुत्र थे।
उज्जनक प्रदेश- दोस्तों आज के नैनीताल का वर्णन महाभारत काल में उज्जनक के रूप में किया गया है। दोस्तों गुरु द्रोणाचार्य यहां पांडवों और कौरवों को अस्त्र-शस्त्र की शिक्षा प्रदान करते थे। दोस्तों कुंती पुत्र भीम ने गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के आदेश पर यहां एक शिव लिंग की स्थापना की थी। दोस्तों यही कारण है कि इस क्षेत्र को भीमशंकर के नाम से जाना जाता है। दोस्तों भीम द्वारा स्थापित शिवलिंग आज भी यहां मौजूद है दोस्तों वर्तमान में आज यहां एक विशाल मंदिर का निर्माण किया जा चुका है। दोस्तों माना जाता है कि यह प्राचीन शिव लिंग 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है जो भीमशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है।
शिविदेश - दोस्तों महाभारत काल में दक्षिण पंजाब को शिवि देश के नाम से जाना जाता था। दोस्तों महाभारत में महाराज उशीनर का वर्णन है जिनके पौत्र शैव्य थे । दोस्तों राजा शैव्य के पुत्री देविका का विवाह महाराज युधिष्ठिर से हुआ था। दोस्तों राजा शैव्य एक महान धनुर्धर और महारथी थे । उन्होंने महाभारत के युद्ध में पांडवों का साथ दिया था और अर्जुन का साथ देते हुए युद्ध को जिताने में अपना अतुलनीय योगदान दिया था।
वाणगंगा- दोस्तों कुरूक्षेत्र से करीब तीन किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है प्रसिद्ध वाणगंगा दोस्तों कहा जाता है कि महाभारत की भीषण लड़ाई में घायल पितामह भीष्म को यहां तिरो के सैय्या पर लिटाया गया था। दोस्तों कथा के अनुसार भीष्म ने प्यास लगने पर जब पानी की मांग की तो अर्जुन ने वाणों से धरती पर प्रहार किया और गंगा की धारा फूट पड़ा । दोस्तों यही कारण है कि इस स्थान को वाणगंगा के नाम से जाना जाता है।
कुरूक्षेत्र- दोस्तों आज का हरियाणा ही कुरूक्षेत्र हैं । दोस्तों यही पर प्रसिद्ध महाभारत की युद्ध हुआ था । दोस्तों मान्यता है कि आदि काल में भगवान ब्रह्मा जी ने एक पवित्र यज्ञ का आयोजन किया था । दोस्तों आज भी इस स्थान पर एक ब्रह्म सरोवर मौजूद है। दोस्तों पवित्र ग्रंथ श्रीमद्भागवत गीता में लिखा हुआ है कि महाभारत के युद्ध से पहले भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने यदुवंश के अन्य सदस्यों के साथ इस पवित्र सरोवर में स्नान किया था।
हस्तिनापुर- दोस्तों महाभारत में वर्णित हस्तिनापुर का क्षेत्र आज के मेरठ शहर के आसपास का है। दोस्तों यह क्षेत्र चंद्रवंशी राजाओं की राजधानी हुआ करता था । दोस्तों देखा जाए तो सही मायने में महाभारत युद्ध की पटकथा यही लिखा गया था। दोस्तों महाभारत युद्ध के बाद पांडवों ने हस्तिनापुर को ही अपने राज्य का राजधानी बनाया था।
वर्णावत - दोस्तों इस स्थान को भी मेरठ शहर के नजदीक ही माना जाता है। दोस्तों वर्णावत में ही पांडवों को छल से मारने के लिए दुर्योधन ने लाक्षाग्रह का निर्माण करवाया था। दोस्तों यह स्थान गंगा नदी के किनारे पर है । दोस्तों महाभारत के प्रसिद्ध कथा के अनुसार इस ऐतिहासिक युद्ध को टालने के लिए जिन पांच गांवों की मांग की थी , उनमें से एक वर्णावत भी था । दोस्तों आज भी यहां एक छोटा सा गांव है जिसका वर्णावा है।
वृंदावन- दोस्तों यह स्थान आज के मथुरा से लगभग 10 किलोमीटर दूर है। दोस्तों वृंदावन को भगवान कृष्ण की बाल लीलाओं के लिए जाना जाता है दोस्तों यही पर विश्व प्रसिद्ध बांके बिहारी मंदिर मौजूद हैं।
मगध - दोस्तों दक्षिण बिहार में मौजूद मगध जरासंध की राजधानी थी। दोस्तों जरासंध की दो पुत्रियां "अस्ति और प्राप्ति" का विवाह महाराज कंस से हुआ था। दोस्तों जब भगवान कृष्ण ने अपने मामा कंस का वध किया तब वे अनायास ही जरासंध के दुश्मन बन बैठे थे।
गोकुल - दोस्तों यमुना नदी के किनारे बसा हुआ यह स्थान भी मथुरा शहर से आठ किलोमीटर दूर है । दोस्तों महाराज कंस से रक्षा के लिए भगवान कृष्ण के पिता वसुदेव ने उन्हें अपने परम मित्र नंदराय के घर गोकुल में छोड़ दिया था । दोस्तों भगवान कृष्ण और उनके बड़े भाई बलराम गोकुल में साथ साथ पले बढ़े थे।
द्वारका- दोस्तों माना जाता है कि गुजरात के पश्चिमी तट पर मौजूद यह स्थान कालांतर में समुद्र में समा गया है। दोस्तों इस अद्भुत नगर का निर्माण भगवान श्री कृष्ण के आज्ञा से महान् देव शिल्पी विश्वकर्मा जी ने किया था। दोस्तों माना जाता है कि जरासंध के बार बार हमले से यदुवंशियो को बचाने के लिए भगवान कृष्ण अपनी राजधानी स्थानांतरित कर द्वारिका ले गए थे।
अंग देश - दोस्तों वर्तमान में उत्तर प्रदेश के गोंडा जिले का क्षेत्र व बिहार के भागलपुर जिले के क्षेत्र को अंग देश के रूप में चिह्नित किया गया है दोस्तों दोनों में से अंग देश कौन-सा क्षेत्र है यह शोध का विषय है । लेकिन दोस्तों अधिकतर इतिहासकारों का मानना है कि बिहार का भागलपुर जिले का क्षेत्र ही महाभारत कालीन प्रसिद्ध अंग प्रदेश था। दोस्तों मान्यताओं के मुताबिक जरासंध ने अंग देश दुर्योधन को उपहार स्वरूप भेंट किया था। जिसे बाद में दुर्योधन ने अपने मित्र कर्ण को दें दिया था । दोस्तों इस स्थान को शक्ति पीठ के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।
चंदेरी- दोस्तों चंदेरी मध्य प्रदेश के अशोक नगर जिले में स्थित है। दोस्तों आज के समय में चंदेरी की पहचान यहां की कशीदाकारी और साड़ियों के निर्माण के लिए है। लेकिन दोस्तों चंदेरी का इतिहास भी उतना ही गौरवशाली है जितनी प्रसिद्ध यहां की कशीदाकारी है। दोस्तों इस ऐतिहासिक शहर का उल्लेखन महाभारत में भी मिलता है। दोस्तों 11 वीं सदी में यहां एक महत्वपूर्ण सैनिक केंद्र हुआ करता था। एवं प्रमुख व्यापारिक मार्ग यहीं से होकर गुजरता था। दोस्तों यहां ऐसी कई ऐतिहासिक इमारतें हैं जो पर्यटकों के बीच आकर्षण का केंद्र बन हुआ है।
